Installing ELTA Courier Shipping Costs for WooCommerce
Installation Instructions
Ensure WooCommerce is installed and activated in WordPress.
ATTENTION: For accurate shipping cost calculations, you must have entered the dimensions and weight of your products in your store. You can do this on the product editing screen in WooCommerce: WooCommerce → Products → Edit → Shipping. If you don’t do this for all products (except virtual products), shipping cost calculations will NOT be correct.
Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
Select the `.zip` file containing the plugin and click the Install Now button.
Click the Activate Plugin button.
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Store Address and make sure your store address is entered correctly. Provide at least a zip code and the name of the city where your store is located. The store address must be in Greece.
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Currency options and make sure the selected currency is Euro (€). Otherwise, if you do not want the store currency to be Euro, follow the instructions on your screen to enter a free API key for the fixer.io exchange rate service.
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Tax → Tax Options and make sure you have set Calculate tax based on to Shop base address.
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Tax → Standard rates and make sure you have set VAT to 24% for Greece (country code GR). The Shipping box must be selected so that VAT is applied to shipping costs.
If you have a special agreement with different prices from the company’s retail price list:
Go to: WooCommerce → Settings → Integration.
You will find the options: – ELTA Courier Domestic Price Table, – ELTA Courier Express Mail Service Price Table, – ELTA Courier Special Priority Mail Price Table, and – ELTA Courier Fast Parcel Cyprus Price Table
For each shipping method you have different prices for, select the shipping method and enter the new prices in euros, excluding VAT (VAT will be calculated by WooCommerce). Then click the Save changes button at the bottom of the page.
To set up the ELTA Courier Domestic Same-Day service for same-day deliveries within Athens, within Thessaloniki, and between Athens and Patras:
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → ELTA Courier Domestic.
Check the Enable this shipping method box.
You can modify the title that will be displayed to customers for this shipping method.
Here are some additional services that are charged extra. If you intend to use any of them, check the box for it. The cost of each selected service will be added to the shipping costs. If a shipment needs to consist of multiple packages, these services will be charged once for each package.
For the SMS delivery service, enter the number of SMS messages you expect to be sent. If you do not want to select the service, leave the field blank.
Specifically for the cash on delivery service: The service can be selected here by you, but it will also be selected automatically if the buyer chooses cash on delivery as the payment method. If you do not want to accept cash on delivery payments, you must not select this additional service AND disable cash on delivery from the WooCommerce payment settings.
For the Package types to be used for packaging field: You will need to enter the dimensions of the packages you will use for shipping. Read the instructions on the screen. By default, the packages sold by ELTA Courier have been registered.
For the Store owner fee field: Here you can set a positive or negative value that will be added to (or subtracted from) the shipping cost. This way you can apply additional shipping charges or discounts to them. This value can be a decimal value in euros, or a percentage of the calculated total shipping costs. If you want to enter a percentage, enter the symbol % after the number. In the case of a negative number, a discount is applied. The discount will never exceed the total shipping cost as calculated based on the price list. So there is no risk of applying negative shipping costs. If you do not want to apply additional charges or discounts, leave the field blank.
For the Free shipping if the subtotal is greater than field: Enter a limit value in euros. If the subtotal (cost of all products) reaches or exceeds this limit, then no shipping costs will be charged. If you do not want to offer free shipping for purchases that exceed a certain amount, set zero (0) or leave the field blank.
To save your settings, click the Save changes button at the bottom of the page.
To set up the ELTA Courier Domestic service:
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → ELTA Courier Domestic.
Check the Enable this shipping method box.
You can modify the title that will be displayed to customers for this shipping method.
Select the delivery/pickup point between: Door to Door and Point to Door for this shipping method.
Here are some additional services that are charged extra. If you intend to use any of them, check the box for it. The cost of each selected service will be added to the shipping costs. If a shipment needs to consist of multiple packages, these services will be charged once for each package.

To set up the ELTA Courier Domestic Prepaid Envelope service, which offers competitive rates compared to other services:
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Shipping classes and create one or more new shipping classes to which the products you specify can be placed in an envelope. For example, you can create the classes: Documents or For Envelope.
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → ELTA Courier Domestic Prepaid Envelope.
Check the Enable this shipping method box.
You can modify the title that will be displayed to customers for this shipping method.
For the Allowed shipping classes field: Here you select the shipping classes you have already created, to which a product must belong in order to be placed in an envelope. Products that do not belong to any of the classes you select here will not be placed in an envelope. To use this shipping method:
All products in the buyer’s cart must belong to one of the selected classes. All products in the buyer’s cart must have a volume smaller than that of a shoe box (these dimensions are approximately the maximum acceptable for an envelope).
If these conditions are not met, the buyer will not be able to choose envelope shipping.
For the Store owner fee field: Here you can set a positive or negative value that will be added to (or subtracted from) the shipping cost. This way you can apply additional shipping charges or discounts to them. This value can be a decimal value in euros, or a percentage of the calculated total shipping costs. If you want to enter a percentage, enter the symbol % after the number. In the case of a negative number, a discount is applied. The discount will never exceed the total shipping cost as calculated based on the price list. So there is no risk of applying negative shipping costs. If you do not want to apply additional charges or discounts, leave the field blank.

To set up the international Express Mail Service (EMS):
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → ELTA Courier EMS (Express Mail Service).
Check the Enable this shipping method box.
You can modify the title that will be displayed to customers for this shipping method.
For the Package types to be used for packaging field: You will need to enter the dimensions of the packages you will use for shipping. Read the instructions on the screen. By default, the packages sold by ELTA Courier have been registered.
For the Store owner fee field: Here you can set a positive or negative value that will be added to (or subtracted from) the shipping cost. This way you can apply additional shipping charges or discounts to them. This value can be a decimal value in euros, or a percentage of the calculated total shipping costs. If you want to enter a percentage, enter the symbol % after the number. In the case of a negative number, a discount is applied. The discount will never exceed the total shipping cost as calculated based on the price list. So there is no risk of applying negative shipping costs. If you do not want to apply additional charges or discounts, leave the field blank.

For the Disabled countries option: Here you can select that the service is not available for certain specific countries. By default, countries that are at war at the time of publication of this add-on are disabled, as they are not served by the company.
To save your settings, click the Save changes button at the bottom of the page.
To set up the international ELTA Courier Special Priority Mail (SPM) Air/Express Freight service:
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → ELTA Courier Special Priority Mail (SPM) Air/Express Freight.
Check the Enable this shipping method box.
You can modify the title that will be displayed to customers for this shipping method.
Here are some additional services that are charged extra. If you intend to use any of them, check the box for it. The cost of each selected service will be added to the shipping costs. If a shipment needs to consist of multiple packages, these services will be charged once for each package. Specifically for the SPM service, the additional Oversize Piece Service will be automatically charged for each package that exceeds 70 kg in weight.
Specifically for the cash on delivery service: The service can be selected here by you, but it will also be selected automatically if the buyer chooses cash on delivery as the payment method. Specifically for the SPM service, if cash on delivery has been selected either by you or by the buyer, and the cash on delivery payment amount exceeds the limit of 3000 euros, THIS SHIPPING METHOD WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. If you do not want to accept cash on delivery payments, you must not select this additional service AND disable cash on delivery from the WooCommerce payment settings.
For the Package types to be used for packaging field: You will need to enter the dimensions of the packages you will use for shipping. Read the instructions on the screen. By default, the packages sold by ELTA Courier have been registered.
For the Store owner fee field: Here you can set a positive or negative value that will be added to (or subtracted from) the shipping cost. This way you can apply additional shipping charges or discounts to them. This value can be a decimal value in euros, or a percentage of the calculated total shipping costs. If you want to enter a percentage, enter the symbol % after the number. In the case of a negative number, a discount is applied. For the Disabled countries option: Here you can select that the service is not available for certain specific countries. By default, countries that are at war at the time of publication of this add-on are disabled, as they are not served by the company.
To set up the international ELTA Courier Special Priority Mail (SPM) Road/Economy Freight service: The instructions are exactly the same as for the Air/Express service. Note that, by default, a Europalette container is added to the Types of containers to use for packing.
To set up the international ELTA Courier Fast Parcel Cyprus (FPC) Air Freight service:
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → ELTA Courier Fast Parcel Cyprus (FPC) Air Freight.
Check the Enable this shipping method box.
You can modify the title that will be displayed to customers for this shipping method.
Specifically for the cash on delivery service: The service can be selected here by you, but it will also be selected automatically if the buyer chooses cash on delivery as the payment method. To set up the international ELTA Courier Fast Parcel Cyprus (FPC) Ocean freight service: The instructions are exactly the same as for the Air Freight service. The FPC Ocean freight service can also be used for shipments to Greece from Cyprus-based stores.
